Get your maracas and sombreros ready and prepare your taste buds for salsas and spices, as Cinco de Mayo is back in Brisbane by Riverlife!
Originally, Cinco de Mayo was a day that commemorated the Mexican battle of Puebla where the French were defeated, and heritage, pride and national unity was restored. Today, Cinco de Mayo (the fifth of May) marks a celebration of Mexican culture, cuisine, cocktails, and music. In creating our own tradition, our Cinco de Mayo falls annually on the Labour Day long weekend. So join us on this fine public holiday to bust out your sandals and sombreros for a banging day and night of celebrating all that is Mexican.
